2nd term...I think those presidents in the couple decades after WWII are better than Reagan, in terms of deterring the communism (by korean war and marshall's plan) and a wide-spread prosperity...reagan? rocketing debts (like drinking poison to stop thirst), wider income gaps, disastrous deregulation in power industry...

I am always suspecting those mainlanders who are enthusiastic Reagen supporters (or supporters of extreme conservatism--that of the american republican's strain) simply because they hate communist China so much (justifiable hatred), and Reagen is the first high profile US president after China's opening to the world, hence can be easily seen as the symbol of something exactly opposite to the communist China...just like little ducklings will love as mother the first animal they see (as urban myth goes)...
